
Neil Stevens - Membership Development Manager

With over twenty years experience in the UK rail industry, Neil started his career with British Rail in Swindon as a booking office clerk and has worked in both freight and passenger sectors in roles focussed on retailing, marketing, health and safety and commercial operations.
Having recently spent three years as a freelance rail consultant, Neil has undertaken development and communications work for the Rail Freight Group, provided sustainable freight expertise to a Regional Development Agency, assisted a Swiss particulate filter OEM in establishing itself in the UK rail market and worked as a Associate of Intermodality LLP on Transport for London's Thames Gateway freight quality partnership and the CSR Rail modal shift initiative with the major High St retailers.
Previous roles have included ISRS Safety Auditor for Network South East, Charter Trains Manager for EWS and business development roles wth a number of fledging open access TOC's.
Neil spent three years in the Territorial Army and now concentrates his energies on WW2 military vehicle preservation, history of the US forces in Wiltshire during WW2 and railway preservation.
